I'm not sure what good it would do to add an additional note just to the 
GCC instructions, as it is just as important not to reuse source dirs 
for *any* of the packages that are installed in chapter 5. If anything, 
the only change that should be made would be to the existing note on 
page 5.1, which could potentially be reworded if you don't think it's 
clear enough how important it is...personally I think it's fine as-is, 
as well as the fact that it's in an "IMPORTANT" box.
