I tried to re-configure it as mentioned in http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.lfs.support/35698 namely: *$ CFLAGS="-L/tools/lib -lpthread"* *$ ./configure --prefix=/tools* Problem continues, namely, the above error message is still there...
