Now that's interesting... and I feel I may well have to apologize for wasting your time. I don't know if bison is the cause of all of this, but it's definitely missing in my environment. Not sure how i missed that. Thankfully, it is the only hole revealed by the script... we shall see. I'm going to fix that and start from scratch; then I'll report back as to whether the build goes as smoothly as I am hoping. What is the output of the host system requirements script in section vii? What is in the environment?
