I get it! I was trying to type all of the commands for the section into gedit and then run it at once. I hadn't realized tzconfig was supposed to be run at that time. That is all well and good except I do get an error: /usr/bin/tzselect: line 439: /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Phoenix: No such file or directory /usr/bin/tzselect: time zone files are not set up correctly I did attempt to search linuxfromscratch.org with various configurations of the error but (unless I'm searching the archives incorrectly) couldn't find anything. The way I search is: <what searching for> site:linuxfromscratch.org I suppose I could just configure it as mountain time (though we don't observe daylight savings in AZ). :-)~MIKE~(-:
