(Yup, I have some very very old servers running very old LFS :) - kernel 2.6)
I have one running that I built Wed Dec 3 13:44:56 CST 2003. It runs Linux 2.4.25. Doesn't do much though. It's a dedicated name server. The only ports open are 22 ssh, 53 dns, and 123 ntp. named is running in a chroot of course.
Doesn't use very much disk: Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda5 950M 220M 682M 25% / /dev/hda2 99M 14M 80M 15% /boot /dev/hda6 471M 43M 405M 10% /var /dev/hda7 99M 4.2M 90M 5% /var/named /dev/hda8 479M 8.3M 446M 2% /tmp -- Bruce -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page Do not top post on this list.
