I assume those are your only systems on that machine ?  If so, your
priority should be to get debian booting again, because at this
point you do not know if your LFS kernel configuration is good
enough, or if there are any other errors which will make the
booted system unusable.

I am not familiar with rescueing a debian system, but it seems
likely that something you did when installing the bootloader, or
"fixing" grub.cfg, is the problem.  If you have a rescue CD, or a
bootable rescue image on a stick, use it.  If not, you will need to
download one and create a CD or bootable stick.

Does the 'no such partition' message come from the kernel of the LFS
system when it is trying to use the rootfs ?  If so, you probably
failed to enable the required disk driver(s), or the required
filesystem - they need to be built in for LFS, not left as modules.
