Has anyone thought about or tried creating an AMI based on an LFS book version
for use in EC2?

While this would arguably defeat much of the point of building the system
yourself, there are a few reasons why it might be a good idea:

1) providing a springboard for launching BLFS projects by providing the rock
solid base of LFS in a convenient, low cost, virtualized environment.

2) introducing more people to LFS, especially those without a spare computer
available, and thus increasing the reach of the project.

3) making it easier to deploy LFS systems for production services.

Thoughts? Or is this just another of my damn fool ideas?
