Maybe you have missed other steps when building ncurses. The file /usr/lib/libncursesw.so should be a symlink to ../../lib/libncursesw.so.6 and the file /lib/lincursesw.so.6 should be a symlink to libncursesw.so.6.0. Of course the file /lib/libncursesw.so.6.0 should exist and be a shared object. Did you erase psmisc build tree band untar it again before running configure?
