I have stopped my build with the gcc-build as is at the end of the "make install", with tee'd logs of the configure, make, and install phases. I'm very willing to search for any clues to what's causigng the failure which anybody can suggest, given that I'm just a LFS/Linux user, not a C programmer or developer.
