Hi Pierre,

I stand corrected, and I will retract my assertion that the OP
seemed to have been playing with weird|antiquated programs.  I'm
actually glad I no longer look at the details of the toolchain any
more, and even more glad that you can spot things like this.

But for grep in /sbin, the suggestion of noting what changed on a
completed system still stands.
