Thank you, Ken. I do. I can try it. I'll report back when I have information. I haven't seen any indications yet that the 4.4 & 4.9 kernel patches install PTI on i686 builds. Also, perhaps you can clarify: The latest kernel patches for 4.4 & 4.9 use retpoline.
