I noticed the compile flags differ _ever_so_slightly_ when building readline in chapter 6.
Compile the package: make SHLIB_LIBS="-L/tools/lib -lncursesw" vs Install the package: make SHLIB_LIBS="-L/tools/lib -lncurses" install It seems odd to me that each command would link against a slightly different version of the library. After a little experimentation, it seems readline does install correctly. It looks like this is not an issue as libncursesw is only used during the compilation step. Unless there is some deeper insight here, I guess this is maybe a note for the errata. Or perhaps for the curious. thanks, rick -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page Do not top post on this list.
