A quick google for 'vmlinuz has invalid signature' seems to get a lot
of hits, and offers an option with ' ubuntu' at the end!  So this is
not uncommon.

Looking quickly, it appears that your system (i.e. UEFI, often
described as 'bios' by manufacturers) is (still) enforcing secure
boot.

But the problem might be with ubuntu - there are threads which
suggest that ubuntu signs its kernels (with a ubuntu key) and
enforces that in its grub.  If that is the problem, I have no idea
how to work around it.
