lftp

hi,

i'm having a problem with lftp:

during a transfer it stops for x seconds (transferring nothing), goes 
on for xx second, stops for x seconds and so on ...
i've tried different URLs, its all the same. when i leech the same 
URL with win (through the linux box) i dont get the breaks, so it 
seems like it is lftp ....
any ideas ?
