After reading through your previous postings about resolving the duplicate libexpat library problem, I chose to check out LDFLAGS as that seemed to be the most promising and it has met with success!
The following definitions produce a clean configure and make: export C_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/local/include:$C_INCLUDE_PATH export CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/local/include:$CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib" export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig:$PKG_CONFIG_PATH Thanks again for all your efforts Justin, very much appreciated! Of course I have a simple workaround now that I understand it. I just simply add the -L/var/tmp/pkgbuild-mwright/FOSStaglib-1.5.0-build/opt/foss/lib option that libtool added at the front of my LDFLAGS before doing the configure. Thanks very much, Mark So add: export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib" before doing the configure, see if that fixes it. You may need to unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH.. Justin.
