Haha! Me, too... ;-) Just saying, if I did something wrong, without being aware of that, I'd very much appreciate getting a hint and a chance to rectify the problem, before being shot at by lawyers. There's a gigantic difference between intentional and unintentional violation. One solution would be to prepare a reasonably friendly but very clear email text, fitting all violation situations and sending that email out to all newly found violations first. Then if nothing changes within e.g. 7 days, pass the case on to the lawyers. Sending such an email should then only cost 2 minutes of your time. How about something like this: "Dear developer, we've been notified that your project currently does not fulfill all LGPL / GPL license requirements. This is a friendly notification. Please double check your license requirements and make sure that everything is in order. If you're unsure, feel free to ask for help here: [...] (newslist url?) We will check if you fixed the problems in 7 days from now. If the problem is not fixed by then, as much as we hate to do that, we will have no choice but to pass the case on to our lawyers. Thanks for your understanding and best regards, libav project" Or something like that. English is not my native language, so somebody may want to proof read that. Best regards, Mathias.
