Hej, our w32threads thread helpers lack support for frame multithreading and nobody seems interested in implemeting it. Unfortunately win-pthreads causes trouble for VLC, JB can fill the details. It was suggested, that libav could use x264's w32threads pthreads wrapper. Pegasys Inc. and Steven gave permission to relicense it to LGPL and Steven provided an initial patch. I did some cosmetics and will handle changes during review.
