Here the initial stab at it. Currently there isn't a way to request a nonraw v4l2 pixelformat, nor a way ask for the best available format, nor to just capture assuming the v4l2 setup had been taken care by an external program.
Some recent consumer uvc cameras have native mjpeg for high resolution formats and there are lots of strange custom formats from the past that we do not support.
