Still investigating the problem, by constraining my application with -qmin=10 -qmax=10, and doing the same using ffmpeg command line I have the exact same bitrate and file size.
But if I just use preset=medium and crf=23 (which are normally the default), Im don't have the exact same results between the two. Does anyone know something that ffmpeg.c could do in extra compared to the default parameters from libav?
