I do not know which version of realplayer are you using, or how you are
streaming with vlc... Here, the latest version of realplayer I could
download (I just re-downloaded and re-installed it, to be sure) says:
The player does not have the
capabilities to play back this content
The following components are required:
video/MP4V-ES
So, standard mpeg4 is _NOT_ supported.
