To better clarify it, as the above explanation seems a bit confusing for myself :) :
* I have a large GOP - of say 150 * Have a frame rate of 10 * I force a keyframe arbitrary in middle of GOP - and start writing a new file with this keyframe * When I open the file in VLC - it shows a black screen for 7-10 seconds, and then begins the playback, apparently by picking the next GOP keyframe * The VLC *doesn't* complain that first packet is not a key-frame - meaning the frame *does* marked as one Thanks. _______________________________________________ libav-user mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mplayerhq.hu/mailman/listinfo/libav-user
