Hello,

I would like to encode an MPEG4 Video Elementary Stream (ES) that can
subsequently be read in using mplayer.

(an example of such a file is here:
http://www.live555.com/liveMedia/public/m4e/ )

Such files typically have an extension of '.m4e'.

Does such an encoder exist in ffmpeg? Does the existing MPEG4 (Part 2)
encoder create the equivalent of an elementary stream at any point?

I have tried simply taking the data from an MPEG4-encoded AVPacket and
concatenating it in a file, but that did not create a mplayer-recognizable
file.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
