Hi. I'm writing a cross platform application (Linux and Windows) to
decode H.264 video. On Linux I'm using Fedora 9 and building against
ffmpeg-devel-0.4.9-0.50.20080908.fc9.i386. On Windows I've been
building against the binaries at http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/.
On Linux it works fine, but on Windows I get strange colour artefacts
which you can see in this screenshot:

I've tried the Windows builds numbered 16537, 15986, 15966, 13712, and
13242. When I first tried to build it on Windows using 16537, I had
the artefacts so I decided to try earlier versions. When I tried
version 15986 it worked fine so I left it that. However, now the
artefacts have returned. I thought I might have made a mistake
somewhere - maybe building against the wrong version somehow - so I
cleaned up my build environment and tried again but I just can't get
it working with any of the versions.

I did see these same artefacts on Linux when I tried building against
version 5.0 when it was first released. That's when I decided to build
against the released Fedora devel rpm and then it started working.

Has anyone seen this effect before? Any ideas what might be causing it?

Thanks, Chris.
