Well that's a gcc flag AFAIK. My problem is with building the Windows equivalent using Visual Studio - my fault for not mentioning that in my first post.
Since the same problem occurs with my linux build when I use ffmpeg release 5 or later I might try it because, if it works, maybe I can find the equivalent compiler option for Visual Studio.
