I haven't coded it, but have done it with external tools.

The output from yuvdiff can be passed through an FFT filter and any sort of frame rate conversion (even frame blended) will show as a spike. The more prominent the spike the cleaner the conversion. The ratio of change shows up in the FFT. 2-3 pulldown has a very prominent spike at a definite location (I can't remember where, but it's has a very intuitive location)

Hopefully this will help with detection.
