Hi All, I need some clarification on the usage of crf and cqp options. Here is my understanding on crf and cqp: crf maintains constant average quantization parameter with slight +/- variations based on the fast/slow motion video content. But cqp maintains constant quantization parameter regardless of the video content. pls correct me if i am wrong.
To maintain a constant QP,is it sufficient to just set the cqp to some value? ex: cqp = 20. Can I set qmin=20; qmax=20 instead of setting cqp=20? When I tried with these 2 settings they produced different file size outputs. please give me some details on this.
