Expect a more thorough announcement once I've had time to get some stuff written up properly, but OpenITP will be running a public, open, and transparent peer review board to provide at least one instance of this function, up through an including sponsoring audits of tools by commercial security teams. We'll also be working to ensure that the teams we work with have proper threat models, security documentation, and well-considered user experiences for their tools.
