An emotional walk from Vietnam to Iraq from a 40-something...

"....I can also remember seeing "The Wall" (no, not Pink Floyd…I mean,
I did see that, but that's for another post). I was in Washington DC,
and I set out to see the new Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and I suddenly
stumbled upon it. And there it was: this endless wall with an endless
list of names…and I burst into tears. You can add this to the
catalogue of images that continue, years later, to evoke a tearful
response in me.

And as I watch our operation in Iraq…..I can't help but see history
repeating itself....."
