Movies are not art, although they give a pretense of being an art.
It is a craft.

Giving us your personal artistic preference does little to defend
your bizarre claim that capitalism doesn't value art. Neither
does giving us your bizarre opinion that America has no culture.
All these prove is your narrow taste. You deny the fact that the
capitalist West produces by far the most art and artists. You
deny movies, actors, music, musicians, etc. Jacob's Ladder and
Dark Side of the Moon are amongst the greatest of all artistic
masterpieces.

Under communism, art flourished. For example, neither Bolshoi
Ballet nor Kirow could ever achieve the artistic excellence they
had when they were not "free". What killed art, was capitalism,
or rather a change of goals, from a spiritual/artistic, to
PROFITS FIRST.
Do you think USA has culture?
Please note, that culture is a foundation of every enlightened
society.
