Libertarians are not "planning a future" for anyone.  We want the 
billions of our fellow humans to live in peace and the freedom to 
plan their own lives.

Sparta was the orignial totalitarian state as far as I know.  To toss 
that reference is absurd.

No one here is denegrating charity when given voluntarily.  Most 
charitable organizations distribute at least 80% of their 
contributions.  Government welfare distributes less than 30% of their 
budgets to their "clients," and the rest is spent on "administration."
