How can I tell? I have explained many times before: see my points
regarding many other activities that are at least as risky as not
wearing a seatbelt (ie, sports).

 

I think "independent" largely means that no other person or group
can create or destroy my right to engage in behavior that
directly hurts no one and to not have that right violated by
another without my consent. Obviously, this definition does not
support your pro-big-government / anti-individual-rights
position.
