"There is evidence to suggest otherwise. It is well documented and disseminated. Whether or not it is sufficient to warrant action is another question." ... in relation to: From: Paul <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > There was no libertarian justification for the war in Iraq. This is exactly the point I have been making. Support for action against Iraq does not, de facto, make one not Libertarian. Support for the war does not also mean one is 100% behind all the actions Bush and the DoD have taken. It is support for victory rather than the same snatching of defeat from the jaws of victory we pursued in Vietnam. The irrational hate people feel for Bush has produced ridiculous statements like "one can't be Libertarian," blah, blah, blah. Instead of wasting time aligning ourselves with idiots like Wilson and Sheehan, we should ue this golden opportunity to debate the dubious nature of nation building and what constitutes the best national defense. If we rose above the Demopublican level of debate, which is exactly where all the Bush Haters live, we could actually close uneccesary foriegn bases, bring back overseas troops, end billions of wasted foriegn aid, engage in fruitful and thoughtful diplomacy, and generally achieve a more Liberarian America. As I've said many times before, slavish adherence to the NAP and hatred of Bush (and Cheney for that matter) make one as useful an idiot to the Islamofascists as the Rosenbergs and the American Communist Party were to Stalin. Don't get fooled again, the real enemy is not in the White House. ForumWebSiteAt http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libertarian Yahoo!
