Actually, yes I can brush those off.  It wouldn't matter if Saddam
killed 50 million people in the middle-east.  As long as he doesn't
attack America, it's none of our business.  America's military isn't
here to defend any nation but our own.  

The number killed by Saddam doesn't matter.  The number killed by us
does matter, and that number is about 100 times more than were lost on
9/11/2001 even though Iraq had nothing to do with any attacks against
America or collaborative links with those who did.

Kuwait was historically part of Iraq, and Kuwait started aggression
against Iraq by practicing slanted drilling across the Iraqi border. 
Iraq responded by invading them and America illegally got involved.
