Let me just be clear. I have no personal animosity, or opinion for that matter, on the individuals who believe such things. I am saying that the idea that support for Israel, the most successful, and for many years only, democracy in the middle east, "has inflamed Arab and Islamic opinion and jeopardised not only US security but that of much of the rest of the world." is from the same set of ideas that produced the Holocaust. >From the moment of Israel's inception, the arab world has continuously attacked the people and the boarders of Israel. It is true that we should end the foriegn aid subsidy we send to Israel, as well as the entire $12 billion or so foreign aid budget to ALL countries. At Camp David, Arafat was offered everything the so called Palestinians wanted. He walked away because he had then, and never had, any intention of anything other than driving Israel "into the sea." Wars happen because some people eith can't get along with their neighbors, or have expansionist agendas. If the Israel lobby disappeared today, the jihadis would still hate us. Wars will still happen because one fundamental of human anture is conflict. It will always be a struggle to refrain from aggression, but to lay the blame for war on "the Israel lobby" is as misguided as to lay the blame for Communism on "world Jewery," and equally as disgusting.
