We are not throwing the words around lightly. Our use is far more
accurate than yours: How about people who throw words around like
"slanderer"?
If your position is that Torquemada was a much better candidate
for the terms "war criminal" and "murderer" then let me address
that. (Not that I ever mentioned his name, but thank-you). He was
a wannabe compared to modern drug warriors who are much more
sophisticated and efficient at their crimes. Your man was only
attributed with anywhere from 17K to 2K deaths and tortures. Now
compare that with the amount in US prisons and jails right now
for drug crimes; now add to that the total amount for about the
past 40 years; now add to that the number of deaths and injuries
due to black-market factors. Your historical example does nothing
for your position. When looking at the facts and numbers, it
supports mine. It certainly does not exclude current inquisitions
from the same type of crimes. Actually, Torquemada provides us
with a very good analogy; the principles behind his prejudices
and related actions are the same as today's drug warriors. Now
maybe you would like to choose another candidate who qualifies
for the terms?
You admonish us for "visceral hate", yet deny the fact that no
culprits are more deserving. Instead of blaming us victims for
being angry, maybe you should place more accurate blame upon
those of whom I speak: those who INSTIGATED the "visceral hate".

{American jurors have complete Constitutional authority to vote
"not guilty" based on nothing more than a disagreement with the
case, no matter the evidence - despite the judge's instructions.
There is absolutely no obligation to vote "guilty" to arrive at a
unanimous verdict. Get on a jury, stand your ground, and fulfill
its other main purpose: to counteract abusive government and
unjust lawsuits.

What I am saying is that people who throw words and phrases
around
like 'war criminal' and 'murderer' devalue the real meaning of
these
words.
Comparing a lousy judge to Torquemada is ridiculous.
It is this kind of visceral hate now being deployed in politics
which
will eat away at democracy faster than bad laws.
If these police, lawyers, annd judges are that bad, then there
exists
a moral duty to have them removed. To say,'it's not my job' just
doesn't cut it.
The McWilliams case is a textbook for what's wrong in government.
To
respond with the same hostility and hate won't bring anybody back
to
life, nor will it fix anything.
