Here's a sort of sociological 'unified field theory' for the politics of a free society; as discussions can be more meaningful and may be more beneficial if people define their terms.
PUBLIC morality: that which is right/wrong for all persons. Libertarian 'public morality' can be thought of as reciprocal comprehensive physical autonomy for each person; It is consistency to a 'physical aggression truce' that can be expressed as: each person may do anything that they individually choose to do of their own free will EXCEPT initiate, or do a credible threat to initiate, physical force against the person or justly acquired possessions of another (yes, this does also address fraud) PRIVATE morality: that which is right/wrong for persons in private association (congregation, civic club, business and so on) The specifics can be as arbitrary as is mutually agreed upon by consenting persons in voluntary association. PERSONAL morality: that which is right/wrong for an individual person. This will usually be some combination of PUBLIC and PRIVATE 'morality' chosen by free will of the adopter of this personal standard. -Terry Liberty Prker 'Real world' experiment in LIBERTARIAN community became famous as peace demonstration and more at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LibertyProspects/message/2569 MoreAt: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libertarian ForumWebSiteAt http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libertarian Yahoo!
