[forum moderator] Terry does not like countless debates
as to who is and who is not a libertarian.

I would only respond that I'm a big believer in a broad definition
of libertarianism. My foe Paul Ireland is a believer in a very well-
defined and narrow definition of libertarianism.

My feelings basically are that hell, if it's good enough for
Liberals and Conservatives, it damn sure's good enough for advocates
of libertarianism. Why should they get to have a very broad
definition of their philosophy? And libertarianism's advocates
have to be confined to a very narrow area?

When Leonard Reed of FEE invented the New Political Spectrum with
Four Quadrants back in 1959, he envisioned a day when "libertarian"
would be as broadly defined as Liberal or Conservative. Dave Nolan,
the Advocates for Self-Government and numerous others have carried
on that tradition of libertarianism being as large a movement and as
broadly defined as the other two, through the World's Smallest
Political Quiz and the OPH.

If you wish to narrow the definition for libertarian beliefs,
fine with me, just use a Modifier. Call your perspective
"Anarcho-libertarianism" or a "Hardcore libertarianism" or a "dogmatic
libertarianism" or an "extreme libertarianism"

But unless you completely reject the New Political Spectrum, YOU
MUST acknowledge that other flavors of libertarianism exist, even
Moderate libertarianism.
