Geof Gibson weirdly asks: "So, are you of the opinion that democracy and
Islam are incompatible?"



I don't recall him saying that.  Read the passage again.  Islam is not being
incorporated into a democracy.  Islam has been granted veto power over the
government.  This is a far cry from being "incompatible."



If Islamic law is primary and can overrule the government, then it is not a
constitutional republic.  The same goes for any government placed under the
supervision of Judaism, Christianity, etc.
