Of course not, but that is an exceptional situation. In a letter to an editor one has to generalize, and generalizations will have exceptions. Michael has two main advantages: he is charismatic, and he is getting donations from the same people who donated to his presidential race, and who expect to do the same for his next presidential race. If all of Michael's donors were also donating to other Libertarians, we might have to identify a corps of patriots who also donate, but in major campaigns, like national or state races, the special interest money will almost certainly overwhelm what even Michael can raise. People are donating to Michael because he is Michael, not because he is a Libertarian. -- Jon ---------------------------------------------------------------- Constitution Society 7793 Burnet Road #37, Austin, TX 78757 512/374-9585 www.constitution.org [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ Yahoo!
