I hope you suceed with public opion research. Has there even been a
good poll on libertarian ideas since the Protrait Of America poll in
2000 using the old Nolan quiz for questions where 16% polled
Libertarian using the quiz but only 2% said they were libertarian,
twiced as many people said repeal all taxes, Blacks polled by several
percentage points more than Whites as being libertarian, best I
rember 22% of blacks polled as libertarian There were fewer
authortarians than libertarians, those who said they were Democrats
were almost just as likely to be libertarians as Republicans, men
tended a bit more to be libertarian than women, women tended a bit
more to be authoritarian ( could that have a bit to do with the draft
potentioal of a man being higher than a women). Well that poll was
done before 9/11/2001 afterwards when government looked better to
more people and and before the past couple of years with the erosion
of central government in the polls.--- In

have collected ballot access signatures in my state, off and on, for

capacities over the space of about 6 years. I have chaired two
libertarian oriented statewide ballot initiative drives--one
regarding jury nullification, the other regarding asset forfeitures.
Over the last 6 years I have represented (in my capacity as an
attorney at law) the LP of Washington in an ongoing battle over the
state primary system, which went to the SCOTUS once and is now
working its way back up the system for a second round (we're on the
winning side, for once). Currently, I am serving as treasurer to the
Guthrie for US Senate campaign here in Washington State (all
donations to the Guthrie campaign gladly accepted). My next mission
is to introduce the LP to meaningful public opinion research, and
vice-versa.
