Let's say a a white (and completely non-racist) Libertarian Party candidate was in a major federal election against one of the most powerful black candidates in congress in an overwhelmingly black district made a press release inviting his opponent to a public debate, and when the press arrived to cover the debate, he walked out in a KKK robe and hood and said, "Libertarians hate niggers!!! Dude, you are starting to scare me! 3. The LP is not a party of personality, but of principle. The "principle" you seem to be espousing is NOT a libertarian principle. The LP would survive, though in that CD, it may have some lasting damage. But all in all, I don't think any single person (with a lack of personality) can damage the LP as much as you think.
