Really Steven? Hmmn, that's interesting.

Let's take your example, and run with it.

I'm sure you know Carl Milstad, right? He's the Leader of the
Libertarian Reform Caucus. I presume you are talking about
Libertarians like Carl.

I'd be really, really, really surprised if Carl and others who you
accuse of being "Neocons" were opposed to:

Legalization of Drugs
Legalization of Prostitution
Legalization of Alternative Lifestyles for Gays, Lesbians,
Swingers.et.al
Repeal of Seat Belt Laws
Lowering the Drinking Age to 18
Legalization of Gambling

And just about repeal of all Victimless Crime Laws currently on the
books.

Now, let's take your typical NeoConservative.

How does Fred Barnes do for ya? Or, do you prefer Bill Krystal?
Or, how about the "King of the NeoCons" William J. Bennett?

Let's stick with Bennett for shits and giggles.

Bennet opposes ever single one of the above-mentioned social
liberties, not just opposes them, but vehemently opposes them.
(With the sole exception of gambling, which he indulges in.)

Now explain to me how it is that you can put a Carl Milstad or a
Bruce Cohen or Tim Starr or some other Mainstreamer libertarian in
the same category as a NeoCon like Bill Bennett?

Face it Steven, you can't explain it.

In your neat little world, everyone who opposes you is a "NeoCon."
You just don't want to admit that a philosophy exists that is quite
consistent, and quite libertarian. One that is staunchly Free
Enterprise and Pro-Tax Cuts, and also Pro-Choice/Pro-Social
Tolerance, yet deafly afraid of Islamo-Fascism and Pro-Defense of
America and American values.

Destoys your neat little paradigm doesn't it. So, your only escape
is to put all these people into the NeoCon category.
