Steven, Although I think you are usually one of the brightest posters here, I have to respectfully counter you here. Sure, marriage is a complex issue; but first-hand experience is not necessary to realize fundamental rights of each individual. Therefore, I think David's errors are less due to being single and more due to a deep prejudice and lack of universal libertarianism understanding. In fact, I'm not sure David experiencing marriage would teach him anything; tenacious prejudices tend to confirm their own fallacies. And consider the victim's experience of being shown how to obey through love; scary thought.
-Mark (never married but not blowing hot air) ++++++++++++++++++++ David, while I am sure that you have studied the matter of marriage and how it should be done, I think that most of us would rather see you lead by example. Sort of like the young woman at Children's Services that has never raised a child (but has studied it thoroughly, of course), but knows how it should be done, your arguments are rather hollow. So, until YOU have married, and know something of which you are speaking, you are blowing hot air. PEACE Steven R.
