What do you mean by conform? Almost sounds like the nice way of saying we should abandon our principles. The thing that separates us from Democrats and Republicans is that we stick to our principles instead of blindly following the party, though I have seen a few Libertarians who prove that statement wrong. People see our ideas as radical because in a way they are, of course liberty is scary when what we are seeing right now in government is growing oppression to keep "order". Before I start ranting, you should elaborate on the solutions to this dilemma, all I see are problems being listed below, but no solutions. You do suggest we should conform, but how?
P.S. This may just be my opinion, but the main goal of the Libertarian party is not member growth, though it is a high priority. Rather the main focus of this party is to restore liberty.
