And why then would one country not be allowed to agress against another which holds an ideology that is antithetical to, oh, I don't know, Islam or Christianity? ___________________________ > and why is agression against a country that is engaged in killing some > minority not allowed? ____________________________________________________________________ First off, WorldNetDaily, the source of the story about DPRK "massacres" of babies, is not a credible source for information about those that it wants to go to war with. Secondly, even assuming that the writers and editors at WorldNetDaily were acting in good faith (not necessarily a good assumption!), refugees lie about supposed atrocities. It was the tale of a Kuwaiti refugee, remember, that secured Bush I's first war against Irag; the "Iraqis" were throwing babies out of their incubators in Kuwaiti hospitals - she witnessed it herself! Turns out of course, that what she described never happened and, in that case at least, she was reading from a script that was handed to her by a public relations firm which had been hired to sell the war. Thirdly, even if the tales of these refugees are true, it still remains that the only action which you propose involves violence against people who are not involved in this killing. Besides the violence against Koreans who are not involved, your remedies would involve violence - or threat of violence against non-Koreans as well. Sanctions, of course, use government violence against businesses and travelers who would engage with North Korea. Military action uses government violence against all of us who are having our money stolen at gunpoint in order to fund such a military adventure. As has been said several times, vic, most libertarians are not pacifists; most of us would have no problem with you organizing a private effort to go to Korea and end the killing (if in fact it is happening!). Just how strongly do you feel about this? Or are you just like the other liberals/conservatives/libertarian-republicans who seek a government solution to what you see as a problem?
