Some libertarians said that it'd be better if the Democrats took control of the
House and Senate. Some libertarians said that "divided government and checks
and balances on President Bush is a good thing." Many libertarians before the
election said, "Ah, ain't no difference between Democrats and Republicans..."

Now we learn that the Top Armed Services Democrat is pushing for a return to
the Military Draft; perhaps the grossest violation of civil liberties
imaginable from a libertarian perspective.

No doubt Republicans will fiercely oppose it, as they have done since Bush
took over in 2001. Wonder if the libertarians who have been saying that
Republicans are "no good on civil liberties" and Democrats are better on
individual liberty matters will have to say now?
