Although I respect in many ways the "Just Do It" idea of activism, it does have a major weakness. Some people are good at *just doing*, and others are good at *organizing the doing* (some folks are good at both, of course). So the idea that people will just up-and-table an event is a bit of wishful think, I suspect. A lot of volunteers want some event they can just be 'plugged into' - and that's where national and state parties can help. > ... > If I can get them to table at Take Back America or any of the other > events suggested that would be a specific victory, rather than just > beating them up for all the things they (or, I should say WE) don't > do, I thank them for what they DO do, and then suggest some small > concrete step in the direction I want the party to take. I hope it works. Good strategy. Maybe we should do GoodCop/BadCop? ;-) Only joking; I also want to be positive - after all, I was one loudly pushing for a CPAC presence!! > ... > Paul) Susan, thanks for designing the flyers/postcards and attending > the Jan. 27 event with the NC LP. They should NOT be printed from the JPGs as the quality will be horrid. They are postcard-sized, not large flyers. > BTW you never did tell me... Yes, we printed 1,000; and distributed around 500 at the antiwar event - here's a pic of a cute girl pondering one: http://picasaweb.google.com/hogarth/2007january27DCAntiwarRally/photo#5025221460795876498 We distributed more at the NH Liberty Forum - pics coming soon. > No big deal if you didn't, > of course, I'm still glad you were there and wish I had been too. > We can still use the stuff you designed for Mar 17 and maybe get some > other folks involved.
