How often, after the Three Stooges affair in the UK, can cable news relay the warning from the awful home secretary to be "vigilant"? What exactly does that mean? Then we have the tearful sympathy from cable news readers to the new Brit PM and his cabinet. How terrible to assume power, and then have this happen--when it is every politician's dream. Oh, and Bush warns us from his Maine compound to be "vigilant" too. Meanwhile, Homeland Security, while not raising the fear color from orange to puce, is "tightening anti-terrorism measures" at US airports. Prepare to take off your socks.
