This was sent to two of the leading pollsters. You might send similar
messages. We need polling on this topic. In the meantime I have created
an online poll at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB22A9N56PMX2 that
I encourage you to take and to spread widely. It is, of course,
unscientific, but may still be indicative of public opinion in this
area. It might be best, however, if you do not include identifying
information in your optional answers.

Subject: You should conduct a poll on attitudes on what Joe Stack
allegedly did

Questions should include:

Do you think he did it?
If he did it, do you think it was for the reasons given in the suicide note?
Do you agree with the reasons given in the suicide note, even if not
with the action allegedly taken by Stack?
Do you agree the action allegedly taken by Stack was justified?
What alternative actions should Stack have taken, and how likely would
each be effective?
How likely do you think it is that this was a government-staged event
intended to be used against tax protesters?

The poll should be repeated over the next few months to seek trends in
public opinion on the subject.
