Interesting theory. Barr is accused of taking an anti-libertarian
stance on Immigration, and your defense of him is to state that YOU
TOO are anti-libertarian on this issue.

To stop me, a U.S. Citizen, from inviting my foreign friends to come
visit me, is definitely anti-libertarian. There is no way you can
justify that. You can oppose Welfare for them, and libertarians will
join you in that.

So in other words you think it is OK for people to come into this country for the express purpose of committing crimes such as rape, murder and theft.

See it is not so fun when people lie about what you mean. Get your facts straight. Preventing criminals from crossing borders has no relationship to you inviting your friends to visit you. Your feeble attempt at a straw-man argument is pathetic. If you are going to try a straw-man argument you should at least be more subtle at it. It is also not anti-libertarian to recognize that a problem exist when one in fact does exist. To act like the current situation is all fine and dandy is the worst sort of hiding from reality. Bob Barr has made NO statement on visitors or legal immigrants. Criminals, welfare mooches, and people looking to take advantage of a broken system of medical laws that take the decisions on whom to serve out of the hands of the trades person involved, on the other hand are what he was talking about.

Chuckle...You decry a tactic, then you apply it yourself?... ^^ The current situation exists for several reasons. One, its useful to the various corporate interests who *own* BOTH
aspects of the Boot On Your Neck Party. Do you have ANY idea how much it would
cost them if they had to pay the same costs involved for illegals, as they do with legal workers? Its one HELL of a lot cheaper to buy off the politicians involved. That's the corporate welfare part.

The Blue State socialists on the other hand, are always wailing about
nonsense like "social justice" and other distractions from the reality they have helped to create in the first place. Do you think that a free market medical system would have the dangerous idiocy that is our current reality? Not in the least. Of course, its impossible to have a free market, with all of the various control freaks sticking their noses in to it(to "protect the consumers" of course...). Which usually works out to protecting the established interests in the various markets from effective competition. Over all, its a glaring demonstration of the corruption that power brings with it.

Finally, just what's in this for you personally? You seem to be quite the advocate for Bob Barr. Yet his past history is ANYTHING but libertarian. One of the more creative(and entertaining) spins on this, is to frame his "conversion" in terms of the redemption of Darth Vader. Which I think does Barr a dis service, because as far as I know, hes not responsible for the destruction of any planets. ^^ Barr is a professional politician(with all that such implies), and his "conversion" is FAR too
convenient in its timing for anyone but an ideologue to disregard.
